Your 22.59 lbs. of Premium Steaks, for example, may include Tenderloin, N.Y. Strip, Ribeye, or a combination. The exact cuts and individual weights will vary depending on the animal and the harvest.

If you’d like a little more or less of something within the available cuts, let us know. We’ll do our best to accommodate your request based on availability.

Planning Your Freezer Space
A Half Beef needs approximately 8 to 10 cubic feet of freezer space.

That’s comparable to a full upright freezer or a large chest freezer. Having your freezer ready before your beef is available will make pickup or shipping much easier.

Processed, Packed & Ready for Your Freezer
Your Half Beef is fully processed at Westcliffe Meats in Westcliffe, Colorado. Individual cuts are vacuum-sealed and labeled, and the ground beef comes in convenient 1 lb. packages.

This means the approximately 200 lbs. is take-home beef, not the hanging weight of the animal.

How Your Half Beef Ships
When shipped by UPS, a Half Beef is generally packed in 6 to 7 boxes. The exact number may vary depending on the size and packing of the individual cuts.
Each cut is vacuum-sealed and individually labeled, making it easy to organize your beef once it arrives.

Pickup & Shipping

Ranch Pickup
Local pickup at our ranch in Saguache, Colorado is available at no additional cost. Your beef will be placed in a labeled chest freezer at the ranch house, located in the enclosed porch on the left under the window. Pickup is available Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

UPS Shipping
UPS shipping is available for an additional $200 shipping fee. Shipping is not included in the beef price or deposit and will be charged separately when your beef is ready to ship.

In-stock orders are generally prepared and shipped within approximately 2 weeks of your purchase. If you are reserving a Half Beef from an upcoming harvest, your beef will be prepared and shipped once that harvest has been processed and is ready.

UPS tracking information will be sent 1 to 3 days before your order ships.
