How Your Box Is Built
The weight listed for each category is the total amount from that cut group, not one of every cut listed. Exact cuts and weights vary slightly based on the animal, but every box is built to provide approximately 25 lbs. of finished beef with a balanced mix of cuts and comparable overall value.
Freezer Space Needed
Approximately 1 cubic foot of freezer space. Comparable to one medium shelf in a standard chest freezer.
Pickup & Shipping
- Ranch Pickup: Local pickup at our ranch in Saguache, Colorado is available at no additional cost. Your box will be placed in a labeled chest freezer at the ranch house, located in the enclosed porch on the left under the window. Pickup is available Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- UPS Shipping: We ship via UPS Ground. Orders shipping to states east of Colorado require a custom shipping rate. Once your beef is available, orders are generally prepared and shipped the following week, typically on Tuesday or Wednesday. Shipping generally takes 1–2 days depending on your location. UPS tracking information will be sent before your order ships.
- October Harvest Reservations: If you are reserving a box from our upcoming October harvest, beef is expected to be ready toward the end of October. Boxes will be prepared for pickup and shipping once the harvest is processed and ready.
